AUSTRALIA

I'm aiming to travel to Australia for November 13th and stay for about 8 months. Until then, I will be updating my portfolio so I can apply for jobs while I'm away and hopefully set something up for when I return.

CONTRACT ENDS AT ELECTRONIC ARTS, DARIAN GOES TRAVELING

Today I finish my last few tasks on FIFA 10 for the Wii. Tomorrow, I leave for Calgary, Quebec, and Ontario.

DARIAN GRADUATES FROM SFU

Today I graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Science in Interactive Arts and Technology.

CONTRACT GETS EXTENDED AT ELECTRONIC ARTS

My contract at EA was extended for another 4 months, taking me to the 28th of August.

I got a job at Electronic Arts, working as an Assistant Game Designer.

BACK TO SCHOOL

School has started up again and I am in full swing for my last semester, taking 5 electives to finish up my degree. Because I only have to take electives this year, I decided to take some courses that would build on the skills that I already have, such as Interface Design, Materials in Design, Interactive Video, and Graphic Design. I also decided to take an introductory course in Spanish to see how I would do at a third language.

MY SUMMER JOB

After three weeks of waiting, I was finally picked to work at EA in the game testing lab. I am hired through VMC but work at EA in Burnaby, BC. I have completed my initial training and I start my official job tomorrow on the Worldwide Sharing Team. With this team, it is our job to test a number of different video games over every platform to make sure they follow the proper guidelines and functionality.

DARIANGRANT.COM HAS LAUNCHED!

After running my portfolio off of temporary ftp for far too long, I have finally purchased dariangrant.com and I am now in the process of transfering all the files over. I will be constantly adding new projects to my website as I continue to work on this ever-growing portfolio of mine.
